EU rejects GM Basmati Rice

Cert ID Europe's RSS feeds have been going crazy over the past few months in relation to GM contaminated rice!

A problem which was initially thought to only be an issue in China, has now spread across the continent and reached likes of India, Pakistan and further afield countries. The border alerts in the UK, Germany, France and Denmark have certainly been ringing alarm bells, with imported GM rice doubling over the past year.

Cert ID Europe's Managing Director, Richard Werran, speaks out again to warn of the issues now surrounding basmati rice within the food industry,

"EU: More basmati rice "rejected over GM ingredients"

We don't mean to alarm, but the issue of GM contaminated basmati rice is becoming more worrying within the food industry. Cert ID are always here to discuss this in further detail and explain how food manufactruers can avoid such GM issues completely.
